Medics:
Adventure
First Aid & Extreme Medics have teamed up. This new and exciting
partnership enables us to offer Extreme Sports Event and Adventure
Racing event cover. We can also provide stewards and marshalls with
relevant environment specific First Aid Training which compliments
the cover provided by Extreme Medics.
- Full
medical equipment is carried to allow advanced life support treatment
for both adults and children in trauma and medical situations.
- Specialist
equipment including technical rope rescue allows for the extrication
and transport of casualties whatever the circumstances.
- We
mainly use vehicles made by Land Rover due to their off road ability.
All are further adapted for off road use using the best equipment
money can buy. They are further equipped with full communications,
GPS and satellite navigation equipment.
- We
utilise two custom built trailers as a self contained mobile casualty
units, at 7.5M and 4.5m long they contain everything needed for
the treatment of injuries at the event site.
- We
also have a RIB rescue boat with professional crew should this
service be required.
- We
have a full set of professional marshals kit including Motorola
VHF handheld radios that are available for event use.
- We
have two 4x4 quad bikes, fully marked and equipped to get to places
even the Land Rovers can't!

Extreme
Medics combine the skills of extreme sports with specialist medical
training to provide medical cover where the risk of injury is high
and where the location is remote and hostile.
All
our staff are experienced in working in harsh and remote environments,
with either an extreme sports or military background, which means
we can operate where other companies cannot.
Unlike
many other private providers we do not use first aiders, we do not
use so called 'extended' trained EMT's and pretend they are paramedics
and we do not use EMT's who have done a five day course as opposed
to the NHS 12 week course.
