First Aid Courses and Training Certification


itcAdventure First Aid is approved and accredited to deliver First Aid courses and trainer induction programmes through ITC First Ais Ltd.

ITC First Aid Ltd (ITC) is an awarding body recognised by the Qualifications Curriculum Authority (QCA) and has the rigorous quality assurance and robust, transparent governance that is demanded by this organisation. The ITC Outdoor, Sports, Paediatric and Emeregency First Aid at Work First Aid Qualifications are recognised by the Sector Skills Council (SSC), appearing upon the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), the Open Qualifications Network and the Learning Aims Database (LAD) supported by the Learning Skills Council (LSC).  ITC First AId Ltd are regulated by OFQUAL.

Immediate Temporary Care is the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) approved organisational arm of ITC First Aid Ltd and follows the quality assurance systems demanded by FAAMS (First Aid Approvals & Monitoring Section) of the HSE for the purposes of delivering First Aid at Work. As such Immediate Temporary Care has the HSE approval number 1670/96. Although the HSE only approve and monitor First Aid at Work training courses many institutions requiring some form of first aid training will use this approval number to recognise the competency of a certificating body for various other sectors of first aid training.

ITC has a committee structure including a 'technical committee' that actively researches current national and international standards. Where appropriate, training courses are benchmarked to current UK National Occupational Standards (NOC) and the European & UK Resuscitation Council (ERC) guidelines.

ITC is a member of professional bodies associated with a professional awarding body function within the first aid training sector, including the Association of First Aid Training Organisations (AFAWTO), Federation of First Aid Training Organisations (FOFATO) and the First Aid at Work Council (FWC).

The strength of ITC is the robust quality assurance systems that govern its activity. Professional Trainers with a variety of working backgrounds undergo a rigorous training programme, preparing them to deliver innovative, enjoyable, purposeful, practical training using modern methods and resources. Trainers are monitored and supervised by a national registration scheme, undergo regular updates and are aware of current best practice throughout the world as well as following UK and European guidelines. A range of different courses are available from beginner to advanced level for all participants.
