First Aid at Work Requalification Course
Overview
If you already hold a First Aid at Work certificate that is in date and wish to revalidate it, you can choose to attend a 2 day (12 hour) First Aid at Work Requalification course. This course will refresh your skills and update you with any changes that have taken place since your last training course.
Our certificates are issued by our OfQual approved awarding organisation QNUK. The QNUK undertake the due diligence checks required by the Health and Safety Executive so you can be assured of a quality training course.
Important Revalidation Information
Key areas of the First Aid at Work course content are covered. This course assumes prior knowledge and understanding and will obviously cover topics at a faster rate than the 3 day First Aid at Work course.
If you feel that your skills are very rusty we would strongly recomend that you attend the 18 hour First Aid at Work course again. We do operate a discount scheme for people who already hold the First Aid at Work certificate but want to attend the full 3 day course. We do this as it has been shown to leave people feeling more confident after the course.
You must bring your current in date First Aid at Work certificate on the first morning of the First Aid at Work Requalification Course in order to register.

- Recognition and treatment of an unconscious casualty
- Recognition and treatment of seizures
- Recognition and treatment of Cardiac Arrest (Adult CPR)
- Recognition and treatment choking casualties
- Recognition and treatment of bleeding injuries
- Recognition and treatment potential fractures to arms and lower legs
- Recognition and treatment soft tissue injuries
- Recognition and treatment head injuries (brain injuries – concussion, compression)
- Recognition and treatment neck injuries
- Recognition and treatment of injuries to the torso (chest, stomach, pelvis and thigh)
- Practical incidents to reinforce learning
- Recognition and treatment of common medical emergencies (Asthma, diabetes, anaphylaxis, bites, stings,)
